'Rock This Town' Penguin Players
RACINE — Racine will be rockin when a cast of more than 40 singers and dancers adorn the Eagles Club stage for six performances of the Penguin Players’ Fall 2009 song-dance-and-comedy gala, “Rock This Town,” Oct. 30-Nov. 8.
The Academy Performing Arts Company Troupe will be among the seasoned performers appearing in the musical extravaganza.
The show includes a toe-tapping, hand-clapping blend of music, comedy and dance, featuring songs like “Ain’t We Got Fun,” “Man in the Mirror,” “Put On Your Sunday Clothes,” “Try to Remember,” “Mamma Mia,” “Shine,” “Puttin’ On My Ragtime Shoes,” “Zombie Jamboree,” “Bloody Mary,” “Mr. Sandman,” “Duke of Earl,” “Love Will Keep Us Together,” “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Rock This Town.” Performances will be held Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and Nov. 6-8. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances at 3 p.m. Seating is cabaret-style and is on a first-come, first-serve basis; no smoking is allowed in the seating area. Doors open 45 minutes before show start times. Beverage, snack and waitress services are provided at each production.
Tickets cost $7 in advance and $8 at the door.
