Topper Dinner & Auction
BURLINGTON — The 25th annual Topper Dinner and Auction fundraiser for Catholic Central High School will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Veterans Terrace at Echo Park, 588 Milwaukee Ave.
The evening begins with cocktails and appetizers at 5 p.m. and continues with two silent auctions, a multi-course gourmet dinner at 7 p.m., an oral auction and dancing. Also in honor of the 25th anniversary, event attendees can enter a free drawing for a silver and diamond necklace from Tiffany’s.
The dinner menu includes a variety of hot and cold appetizers, a dinner salad, a duet plate of Beef Tenderloin Filet with Herb au Jus and Florentine Chicken with Vienna Sauce, Herbed Wild Rice, vegetables, complimentary red and white wine with dinner, and a secret anniversary dessert.
Tickets cost $70 each. For reservations, call Kathy Pieters at (262) 763-9728.
Three auctions, two silent and one oral highlight the evening. Among the items up for bid at the oral auction are a Peirspeed Bolero scooter, a week in Paris, a pig roast for 50, a trip to Washington, a sailboat, autographed sports collectibles, jewelry, furniture and a limo ride to Lambeau Field with six tickets to see the Green Bay Packers take on the Dallas Cowboys Nov. 15.
The evening concludes with a dance from 10 p.m. to midnight.
A drawing for a 2009 Chevy Aveo is also part of the event, although the drawing will take place on Nov. 13 in the gymnasium at Catholic Central High School, 148 McHenry St. Tickets for the car raffle are $100 each and may be purchased at Catholic Central High School or St. Mary’s Rectory in Burlington. Only 600 tickets will be sold. The winner can choose $15,000 cash instead of the car. Those who would like to have car raffle tickets mailed are asked to call the school at (262) 763-1510.
