Are you demanding? The Earth Day Network has a Web site (earthday.net/footprint/index.asp) that can tell you how much demand you put on the earth. You answer a few questions about how much you drive, what kind of food you eat and what size house you live in and then it will tell you if you are an ultra-consumer and then, if you want, how to take action.

NCAA twist A friend came up with a twist for an NCAA bracket (non-gambling, of course, officer) pool. Instead of picking teams and winners, he's holding a draft of players. Each person who enters will take part in the draft, selecting 10 players based on scoring. The winner will be the person whose team of players score the most total combined points.

This does a couple of things: 1.) It's simply different than brackets, and that's worth something. 2.) Even if your Final Four team loses in the second round, you still have a chance because a certain player can make it all the way to the finals and score a ton of points.

Preparing for the draft was a pain (do you know the leading scorer for Oklahoma State?), but it should be interesting.
