Sean Massie, Clayton Haggarty and Anthony DiCello of the Black Belt Karate Studio of Racine won the bronze medal in Team Kata and DiCello won a bronze medal in sparring and kata at the Aalborg Youth Games Aug. 2-3 in Aalborg, Denmark.

At the State Games of America competition at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., Aug. 4, Mary Kate Haggarty of the Black Belt Karate Studio won gold medals in sparring and kata in the 9-year-old novice division and Christian Haggarty, also of the Black Belt Karate Studio, won a gold medal in kata and a silver medal in weapons in the boys’ 11-12 intermediate division.
