Daughtry concert at Carthage canceled

Daughtry’s Tuesday concert at Carthage College in Kenosha has been canceled due to a throat ailment, according to Carthage College and the band.

The Carthage College Web site says that those who purchased tickets through the Carthage Web site will receive an e-mail regarding refunds. Others should contact the outlet from which they purchased their tickets or the promoter directly for refund information.

Carthage is working with Daughtry’s management company to reschedule the concert; more information will be posted at http://www.carthage.edu/daughtry when it becomes available.

The ailment has forced the band to also cancel some subsequent concerts, according to Carthage.

The frontman for Daughtry is Chris Daughtry, the fourth-place finalist in season five of “American Idol.” His band’s self-titled album sold more than 1 million copies after just five weeks of release.
