Name: Marie Daniel
Age: 22
Personal/family: Sisters Katie, 26, and Julie, 17; Mother Susie; Father, Brian
Hobbies/interests: Writing, shopping, dancing, watching movies and teaching pilates and yoga.
Recent accomplishment: Graduating Cum Laude May 2008, and being a part of the UW-Oshkosh Regional Champion team of the 2008 Student Advertising Competition.
Why is it important? After we won regionals — beating 10 schools from Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Canada — we traveled to Atlanta for Nationals and placed 13th in the nation. It was a great experience.
I knew I was an adult when: I paid my own bills and became financially independent.
First job/weirdest job: First job: Adrian’s Frozen Custard, cashier, weirdest job: working for the state as an undercover cigarette buyer. My job was to research which licensed companies, such as gas stations, bars etc., would sell cigarettes to minors.
My friends describe me as: Personable, funny and understanding.
Person I admire most: My mother. She grew up with 13 brothers and sisters and she never gets tired of sharing.
What I miss most from my childhood: Simplicity. My biggest worry was who was playing with my toys.
In the next five years I would like to accomplish: I strive to be living in our new house on the lake, and I would like a secure job placement. I hope to work for an organization or larger corporation that focuses on one client. I really enjoy understanding the client I work for and the company that I represent. I would never work for someone who didn’t believe in the same morals or goals that I set forth for myself.
