Honors and Awards: The Racine Kenosha Builders Association awarded the 2008 Builder of the Year Award to U-B Builders of Kansasville, and the 2008 Associate of the Year Award to the Bank of Elmwood.
The following committee chairmen were honored for their dedication to the association and hard work they put in over the year to help to ensure things continue run smooth: co-chairmen of the Parade of Homes, Kellie Zierk of Carpetland USA and Flooring Center and Dave Bennett of Southport Heating and Cooling; Parade of Homes Awards: Kelly Remer of the Bank of Elmwood; Membership and Toys for Tots: Sheree Hagen of Knight Barry Title of Kenosha; Public Relations: Tamara Walters of Jerde Builders and Designs; Golf: Rick Brandes of Johnson Bank; Governmental Affairs: Julie Meyer of Johnson Bank and Education: Sara Kuehl of Milwaukee.
Elections: The Racine Kenosha Builders Association installed the following new officers for 2009: John Jerde of Jerde Builders and Designs was installed as the 2009 president of the Racine Kenosha Builders Association. In addition to Jerde, the following officers were installed: first vice president, Kellie Zierk, Carpetland USA and Flooring Centers; second vice president, Dave Bennett, Southport Heating and Cooling; treasurer, Patti Beaudin, Perma Structo Inc.; secretary, Kurt Kamm, Newport Builders; builder director, John Darrey, Darrey Construction; associate director, Sheree Hagen, Knight Barry Title of Racine and outgoing president, Darryl Spang of American Kennedy Hahn.
