RACINE - SC Johnson ranked sixth among the top 10 companies for disabilities and in the top 50 companies for diversity, according to the ninth annual list of Top 50 Companies for Diversity recently announced by DiversityInc.com.

Racine-based SCJ's increased efforts to have an inclusive workplace warranted its return to the Top 50 list following a brief hiatus, DiversityInc.com, a provider of original content on the business benefits of diversity, noted on its Web site.

The group cited SCJ's efforts to reach out to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees and employees with disabilities. The company received praise for its benefits including benefits for same-sex domestic partners of employees.

The opportunity for employees to provide feedback on managers' "ability to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment" through mandatory annual surveys also drew special mention.
