Appointments and promotions: Krystyna Sarrazin has been hired as program director for Young Professionals of Racine. Sarrazin will be responsible for building and growing relationships with partners, helping establish a live network of young professionals, maximizing member involvement and ensuring consistent communication throughout a network of local corporate and individual stakeholders.

Gary Sadler has joined Katt Construction as a project manager/estimator. In his new position, Sadler will be responsible for developing bids, subcontractor quotes and budgets. Sadler last was a project manager and estimator for BCI Group of Racine.

Dr. Kurt Reintjes has joined Aurora Health Center's occupational health clinics in Racine and Kenosha. He earned his occupational medicine degree at the John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. Reintjes, who is fluent in Spanish, also serves as a medical adviser to various humanitarian organizations in Latin America.

Gerald Schwallier has been named president and chief executive officer of Southport Bank. Schwallier brings more than 30 years of commercial banking, leadership and financial management experience to Southport Bank. Schwallier succeeds Karl Ostby, Southport Bank's founding president and chief executive officer who announced his retirement earlier this year.

Elections: Steve Iram has been elected to the Racine Federated Inc. board of directors. Iram is vice president of exterior sales and project management for Poblocki Sign Co. in West Allis.
