RACINE - Modine Manufacturing Co. has been awarded a $60 million, five-year contract to supply air-conditioning systems for vehicles made by a Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. of Ulsan, South Korea.
The products will be made at Modine plants in Asan City, South Korea, and Shanghai, China, and used on excavators in Korea and China. Production is expected to begin in the middle of next year.
Jerry Retallick, managing director of Modine Asia, stated in a news release, "We have made significant progress in building a long-term relationship with this important customer and we are expanding power train cooling module sales for the next generation of their products."
