Appointments and promotions: Executive vice president - corporate strategy and chief financial officer and director Bradley Richardson has resigned from Modine Manufacturing Co. effective Nov. 13. Richardson has accepted a position with a publicly held company in an unrelated industry in his native Ohio. Following Richardson's departure, Robert Kampstra, vice president and corporate controller, will assume the responsibilities of the chief accounting officer, reporting directly to Thomas Burke, president and chief executive officer, while the company initiates the process for identifying Richardson's successor.
Anniversaries: This year marks the 10th anniversary of Action Law Offices S.C. with an office located in the Newport Building at 1030 West Blvd. The law firm was founded by Michael Leffler and Steven Gabert.
Leffler is a graduate of St. Catherine's High School, Marquette University Business School and Marquette University Law School. Leffler worked for the Capwell & Berthelsen S.C. law firm in Racine and the Daniel Kondos S.C. law firm in Milwaukee. Leffler is an experienced personal injury trial lawyer, belonging to the American Association for Justice, Wisconsin State Bar Association and Wisconsin Association for Justice. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Racine County Bar Association. He is a member of the Milwaukee County Bar Association and he has served on the Milwaukee County Bar Association Mediation Committee. Leffler has been admitted to practice law as an attorney in the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, United States Eastern District Court of Wisconsin, United States Western District Court of Wisconsin and all Circuit Courts, Municipal Courts and other courts in the state of Wisconsin.
Gabert is a graduate of Wauwatosa East High School in Milwaukee, Marquette University Liberal Arts and West Virginia Law School. He began his legal career as a clerk for attorney Edward Neubecker in Milwaukee. Gabert was then activated by the U.S. Marine Corps where he served three years as a Judge Advocate. In 1990, Gabert returned to civilian practice in Wisconsin where he practiced law as a personal injury trial attorney at the Daniel Kondos S.C. law firm in Milwaukee. He belongs to the American Association for Justice, Wisconsin State Bar Association and Wisconsin Association for Justice. Gabert is also a current member of the Racine County Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and West Virginia. He has also been admitted to practice law as an attorney in the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, United States Eastern District Court of Wisconsin, United States Western District Court on Wisconsin and all Circuit Courts, Municipal Courts and other courts in the state of Wisconsin.
Patrick Bertrandt joined the Action Law Firm in 2006. He graduated from Whitnall High School, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the University of San Diego. While in California, Bertrandt worked at the San Diego Superior Court as a mediator resolving disputes between small-claims litigants. He began his practice as a general practitioner representing clients in criminal, family and real estate matters. Bertrandt has also consulted on implementing a successful dispute resolution mechanism for Ford Motor Co. He has formerly served as a board member for the Young Lawyers Division of the Wisconsin State Bar and is presently a member of the American Association for Justice, Wisconsin State Bar Association, Wisconsin Association for Justice and the Racine County Bar Association.
