Catholic Central rallied from a 17-7 deficit with seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but left the bases loaded and lost to Milwaukee Lutheran 17-14 in a nonconference game at Beaumont Field in Burlington.
Adam Walker hit three home runs and had eight RBIs for the Red Knights (3-1), who led 11-3 after five innings.
Catholic Central (1-6) still had a chance to win. The Hilltoppers scored 11 runs in the final two innings and had the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. But, Catholic Central couldn't keep the rally going.
Sam Wagner went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and Rex Morrow, also the losing pitcher, had a double and three RBIs.
