Fall is in the air and it's time again for the craft fair season to begin. Whether it's festive holiday items, home decorations, purses, wood items or jewelry that you're looking for, you'll be sure to find it at one of the following area craft fairs (arranged by date):

October

FOUR SEASON CRAFT FAIR

Oct. 5-6 - 2837 5 1/2 Mile Road, Caledonia, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Handcrafted items by 15 different artisans. Many unique one-of-a-kind designs, practical and whimsical home decor, and festive holiday decorations.

TREMPER CRAFT AND GIFT FAIR

Oct. 6 - Tremper High School, 8560 26th Ave., Kenosha, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. More than 80 booths. Food. Sponsored by Academic Affairs and Renaissance Committee.

GIFFORD PTA ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR

Oct. 13 - Gifford Elementary School, 8332 Northwestern Ave., Franksville, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Many exhibitors with holiday items, home show vendors, silent auction and concessions.

KILTIES KRAFT FAIR AND AUCTION

Oct. 14 - Racine Moose Family Center No. 437, 5530 Middle Road, Caledonia, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Crafts, silent auction, raffle, bake sale, food and Green Bay Packers playing on a big screen television. Sponsored by the Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps.

HOLIDAY FAIR

Oct. 20 - Faith Lutheran Church, 8500 Durand Ave., Sturtevant, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Crafts, bakery, lunch, silent auction. Free coffee all day. All proceeds go to missions. Matching funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

HOLIDAY ARTISTS SHOWCASE AND SALE

LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL LADIES GUILD HARVEST FAIR

Nov. 3 - Racine Lutheran High School, 251 Luedtke Ave., Racine (handicap accessible), 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Handmade crafts, holiday decorations, jewelry, antiques and collectibles, toys, gift items, household helpers, freshly baked goods, caramel apples, home made candy, books, dolls, fresh fruit and vegetables, homemade jam and jelly, hand-knit items, antique linens, and several outside vendors. Buffet lunch of roast loin of pork, parsley buttered potatoes, green bean almondine, baked apples, pea salad, fruit salad, relishes, Italian bread, cranberry sauce, beverage and dessert, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Lunch costs $8 for adults, $8.50 at the door; $4.50 for children ages 5-12; free children 4 and under. Nov. 10 - Racine Masonic Center, 1012 Main St., Racine, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $2. This Racine tradition is taking on a new look this year, starting with a new location. A wide variety of arts and crafts will be offered, as well as a food booth, and a kiddie booth for shoppers ages 12 and under. Santa will also be there for photos and visits with the children. Sponsored by the Junior Women's Club of Racine.

CHRISTMAS AUCTION AND BAKE SALE FOR MISSIONS

Nov. 10 - First Church of God, 1650 Lathrop Ave., Racine, 1 p.m. There will be craft items, baked goods, Christmas decorations, gift certificates, stocking stuffers, gift items for all ages. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for purchase of baked goods and pre-priced gift items and for viewing items to be auctioned off. Door prizes. Proceeds will benefit Harvest Outreach Food Bank, Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization, Lighthouse Recovery Ministries, Youth for Christ, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and other local, national and international missions, including Sponsorship of a Child in India. ANNUAL FALL FAIR

Nov. 11 - VFW Post 1391 Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans Center, 820 Main St., Racine, 1-7 p.m. Homemade bakery, handmade crafts, a white elephant sale and raffles. Proceeds are used for various programs that support veterans and their families.

CRAFT FAIR

Nov. 16-17 - Kenosha County Office, Woodhaven, 2303 37th St., Kenosha, 6-8 p.m. Fri.; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat. Girl Scout troops will offer a wide variety of handmade craft and gift items for sale. The public is invited. Admission is free. Proceeds benefit the individual troops selling and will be used to fund troop activities, trips and service projects. There will also be a "Make It, Take It" area where children can make small seasonal craft items to take home for a nominal fee.

Nov. 17 - Horlick High School, 2119 Rapids Drive, Racine. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. $2, $1 senior citizens. More than 100 vendors featuring a variety of handcrafted items, antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia and silent auction. Food and refreshments.

WATERFORD FFA ALUMNI CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY CRAFT FAIR

Nov. 17 - Fox River School, 921 W. Main St., Waterford, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Juried craft fair with 40 vendor booths, luncheon available, bake sale and Christmas raffle. All proceeds benefit the FFA Scholarship Fund.

HOLIDAY CRAFT AND GIFT SHOW
