Attention Jeff Ward fans! Party on the Pavement will mark the final performance of the Jeff Ward Band, a Racine-based trio that performs traditional and contemporary songs from Ireland, Scotland and America. The band, which features Jeff Ward on guitars and vocals, Ron Weller on keyboards and Shane Mooney on percussion, has been entertaining audiences here and throughout the Midwest for about 10 years. They will play at 6 p.m. Saturday on the Acoustic Stage.

When Weller recently announced that he would be moving on to explore other musical opportunities, Ward decided it was time to disband the band. That doesn't mean, however, that Saturday will be the last you'll hear of Jeff Ward. He will continue his solo performances and his next Racine date will be Nov. 8 at the Yardarm Bar & Grill. "I'll be singing for as long as people want me around," Ward said.
