The Glory Singers

American Association of University Women – Racine

Tuesday, Dec. 1 — Dinner, 6:30 p.m., Fountain Hall, 8505 Durand Ave., Sturtevant. A craft fair starts at 5:30 p.m. and registration is at 6 p.m. Mary Lenard, associate professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, will present “Jane Austen Goes Hollywood.” Lenard is the composition director in the English Department and also co-directs the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies. Her book, “Preaching Pity: Dickens, Gaskell, and Sentimentalism in Victorian Culture,” was published in 1999.

Reservations can be made by sending a $15 check payable to AAUW Racine to Linda Groth, 8603 W. Burdick Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53227, by Nov. 24.
