Mr. and Mrs. Dan Struebing of 1210 N. Indiana St. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday with family at the Buona Vita Restaurant.
Struebing and the former Nancy Soule were married Nov. 13, 1959, in Waukegan, Ill.
The Racine natives met while attending Park High School.
Struebing was a semitrailer driver for 50 years and self-employed for 35 years. He now works as a truck driver part time.
Struebing enjoys family and football, especially the Green Bay Packers and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers. He was an avid bowler for many years in city leagues.
Mrs. Struebing was employed by Western Publishing Co. Inc. for five years until her children were born. She is now a homemaker.
Mrs. Struebing is an active member of Christ Congregational Church. She was a volunteer at Harvest Outreach Food Bank. Mrs. Struebing enjoys family time and her grandchildren.
The couple has five children: Chris Struebing, Gail (Joe) Machalik and Jay Struebing, all of Racine; Dan (Barb) of Burlington; and Lynn (John) Avitabile of Loganville, Ga. The Struebings have 11 grandchildren.
