Mrs. Clara Porcaro of 5215 Douglas Ave. celebrated her 90th birthday during a dinner with family. A party was also held with staff and residents at Parkview Apartments.
The former Clara Marunowski was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Milwaukee.
She married Sam Porcaro on June 26, 1943. They moved to Racine in 1945.
Mrs. Porcaro is a former Girl Scout leader and former president of Christian Women at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she is a member.
Mrs. Porcaro was employed by Belle City Press for 13 years.
She was a store clerk at Porcaro's Grocery Store for 33 years, retiring in 1993.
Mrs. Porcaro was an active bowler and loves to play cards.
She and her husband have two children: James (Mary) of Racine, and Julie (Jeff) Callahan of Appleton. They have two grandchildren.
