Following is a wish list of items and volunteer opportunities from nonprofit agencies in Racine County. They were provided by local nonprofit agencies.

Lakeside Curative Services

Vocational Services needs:

Day services:

- Musical instruments

The Racine Symphony Orchestra

- Reams of white and bright-colored paper (8.5 x 11)

- Forever Stamps

- Gift Cards from Office Depot or Office Max

Items may be dropped off at the Racine Symphony Orchestra office at 800 Center St. Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call (262) 636-9285 for more information.

The Volunteer Center of Racine County

(New or slightly used items, in many cases, are always welcome!)

- Carry-on suitcase on wheels (to transport youth items to and from school)

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan

Stop Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) Program

- Volunteers to provide the kindergarten child abuse puppet show

- A portable puppet stage (before September)

Sexual Assault Services

- Volunteer advocates to answer our 24-hour crisis line and respond to hospitals in Burlington and Racine

Racine County Food Bank

"Super Six" most needed food items:

- Canned fruit

- Peanut butter

- Tuna fish

- Beef stew

- Canned meats

- Canned pasta with meats

Donations can be dropped off at 2000 DeKoven Ave., Unit 2, Racine from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. It is best to call ahead at (262) 632-2307. In addition, the Food Bank also maintains a collection barrels at all of the

Pick 'n Save and Piggly Wiggly locations East of I-94.

'Stamp Out Hunger' Food Drive

Food donations may also be made through your mail carrier on Saturday, May 9, during the national "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive.

On that day, letter carriers will collect non-perishable donations from homes as they deliver mail along their postal routes.

Donations will then be delivered to local food banks, including the Racine County Food Bank.

Burlington Senior Center

- Two 8-foot tables

- Sturdy square card tables

- A large table that comfortably seats 10 people

Racine Family Literacy

- Multimedia projector
