Baby Signs Parent Workshop: For parents of children ages birth to 24 months to attend with their child. Learn how to reduce frustration and build trust, strengthen the parent/infant bond, help babies learn to talk and promote positive emotional development. Early childhood educators, parent educators, social workers and health specialists are also welcome. 6-8 p.m. May 14. Fees: $15 plus $35 for materials.
BREAST-FEEDING BASICS: The expectant mother should register while in her fifth or sixth month of pregnancy to attend in the seventh or eighth month. Significant others are encouraged to attend. Bring a doll or stuffed animal. 9-11 a.m. May 14. Fee: $10.
Acupuncturists Without Borders
Acupuncture treatments: These free treatments for veterans and their families will help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and help relieve post-combat stress and trauma. Treatments of five small needles placed in each ear last 20-40 minutes. All needles are pre-packaged, sterile and disposed of after use. 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesdays. Donations will be accepted to help fund supplies and support new Veterans Clinics opening nationwide as part of Acupuncturists Without Borders. Caledonia Fire/Rescue Department

City of Racine Health Department
Racine STD Clinic: Sexually transmitted diseases are the most common communicable diseases reported in this country and the Racine Health Department reports more cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea than any other reportable communicable disease. In 2008, the Racine STD/HIV Program received 822 reports of persons with chlamydia and 278 reports of persons with gonorrhea residing in the City of Racine. Racine County has the second highest rate of STDs in the state of Wisconsin due to the large number of city residents infected. A nurse practitioner will provide exams and treatment specifically for STDs. Clinics will be held 1-3:30 p.m. Mondays starting May 11 and 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays (starting May 13). The clinic will accept walk-in clients exclusively. HIV testing is included in the exam if desired.

Immunizations Clinics
Children's vaccines include: chicken pox, diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, Hib meningitis, HPV, measles, meningococcal, mumps, pertussis, pneumococcal, polio, rotavirus, rubella and tetanus. Resident fees: Administration fee is $10 per visit. Maximum charge of $30 for a resident family. Resident's fees will be waived in the event of financial difficulties. Non-resident fees: Administration fee is $15 per visit. Maximum charge $45 for a non-resident family. Adults: Tetanus, administration fee charged; hepatitis B, $50 for resident, $55 others; and TB skin test (must call 24 hours in advance to schedule), $15 residents and $25 others.
