KENOSHA - A statewide manhunt has commenced for two men wanted for questioning in the Sunday night robbery turned homicide at a drive-in restaurant.

Authorities are searching for Julian Jerome Miller, 28, of Kenosha and Daniel Gonzalez, 23, of Kenosha.

Two employees of Shirl's Drive-In restaurant, 7943 Sheridan Road, were shot during an armed robbery Sunday shortly after 9:30 p.m., according to Kenosha police. Robert W. Wilde, 18, of Kenosha, was killed, and the restaurant's 43-year-old manager was wounded.

Kenosha police said two masked suspects had entered through a back door, just as employees were about to close the drive-in. The suspects, one armed with a gun and the other armed with a knife, demanded cash from the employees. After shooting the two men, the suspects fled with cash.

Four female employees, between the ages of 17 and 20, were not injured in the robbery.

Kenosha rescue transported both the injured employees to Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center. Wilde was later pronounced dead. The 43-year-old was treated and released.

Kenosha police spokesman Sgt. Hugh Rafferty said based on their investigation and information provided by citizens of the community, detectives identified Miller and Gonzalez as "persons of interest."

The pair was last spotted in the Green Bay area early Wednesday.

Kenosha police have been working with law enforcement in Green Bay, as well as Brown County and the city of Milwaukee, to try and capture the men.

Rafferty said the robbery and homicide are being investigated as gang-related, as both Miller and Gonzalez are believed to be members of different gangs.

Miller goes by the street name of "Blanco." He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 176 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police said Miller has an extensive criminal history that includes identity theft, weapons offenses, endangering safety by reckless conduct, drug offenses and auto theft. He is currently wanted on a felony warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Gonzalez is known by the street name "Cano," police said. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 124 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said Gonzalez's criminal record includes arrests for first-degree sexual assault and a probation and parole violation. He is currently wanted for a felony parole violation through Illinois.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement agency. Kenosha police can be reached at (262) 605-5210 or anonymous tips can be called in to the Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at (262) 656-7333 or (800) 807-8477.
