University of Wisconsin System officials will likely announce their pick for University of Wisconsin-Parkside chancellor on Thursday, said system spokesman David Giroux. System President Kevin Reilly and the Board of Regents search committee met with candidates Monday. After the meeting they selected one candidate to become chancellor but want a signed offer in hand before announcing their decision, Giroux said.

The finalists for the UW-Parkside chancellor include: Robert Felner of the University of Louisville in Kentucky; T.J. Bryan of Fayetteville State University in North Carolina; Gloria Gibson of Arkansas State University-Jonesboro; and Maurice Taylor of Morgan State University in Baltimore.

The new chancellor will replace Jack Keating, who will be retiring Aug. 5 after 10 years of service. The full Board of Regents plans to approve the new chancellor at its June meeting in Milwaukee, Giroux said.
