RACINE

Bomb threat made against American Legion

Someone called a phony bomb threat in to the American Legion Post 546, 1234 Douglas Ave., on Sunday night, Racine police said.

Reports said the American Legion received a call at 7:04 p.m. from a suspect who said, "There's a bomb inside American Legion."

Police responded to the center and evacuated about 30 people. Officers checked the building, but found nothing suspicious.

Reports said the call came from a pay phone at 1530 Douglas Ave.

RACINE

Man assaulted leaving grocery store

A 23-year-old man was assaulted Thursday night while walking to his car in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot at 3900 Erie St., Racine police said.

Reports said at around 10:30 p.m. the man was attacked and struck in the face with an object, knocking him unconscious. The man told police when he woke, he drove to a friend's house. He was then taken by his friend to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, 3801 Spring St.

Police said the man suffered lacerations and puncture wounds to his lips and bruising and swelling to other areas of his face. Reports said the man does not know what happened to him.

RACINE

Dice game leads to robbery

Police said a dice game turned into an armed robbery Sunday night at an apartment in the 2200 block of Layard Avenue.

Reports said a 41-year-old man and three suspects were playing dice for money. He told officers he was holding $400 when one of the suspects grabbed the cash out of his hand.

According to police, the suspect then pointed a gun at the man, took another $200 out of his pocket, and the group of suspects left the apartment.

RACINE

Boy arrested for burning girl's hair

Police arrested a 11-year-old boy Friday after he allegedly tried to set a girl's hair on fire.

Reports said officers were called to McKinley Middle School, 2340 Mohr Ave., at 11:34 a.m. The girl told police she was waiting in the lunch line when the boy tried to set her hair on fire with a lighter. Reports said her ponytail did not ignite, however some hair on the back of her neck was singed.

RACINE

Jewelry stolen from Lincoln Street home

The resident of a home in the 1400 block of Lincoln Street reported about $3,500 worth of jewelry being stolen during a burglary Sunday.

Reports said the woman left for church at 10 a.m. and when she came home at 1 p.m. the front door window had been broken out and the door was open. The woman told officers that necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings were taken during the break-in.

RACINE

Woman assaulted and robbed on Park Avenue

Racine police said a 25-year-old woman walking home from a relative's house was assaulted and robbed Sunday night.

Reports said the woman noticed the two suspects walking behind her on Park Avenue and then heard someone running. She turned around and was struck in the face with an object, knocking her down.

The suspects then grabbed the woman's purse and fled south on Park Avenue.

Police said the victim walked to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, 1320 Wisconsin Ave. Rescue then transported her to the Spring Street campus where the emergency room is located.

Reports said the woman suffered a broken facial bone in the attack and a contusion to her knee.

UNION GROVE

Woman charged with OWI after crash

Shannon C. Sorensen, 21, 580 Mill Ave., Union Grove, was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after she crashed a car just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 15th Avenue (Highway 11) and Vine Street.

There were no other vehicles involved and no injuries, according to Racine County Sheriff's Department. However, deputies noted that Sorensen's car was severely damaged.

VILLAGE OF WATERFORD

Teen cited after road rage incident

William J. Fenning, 19, 26129 W. Loomis Road, Wind Lake, received citations for disorderly conduct, littering and failure to stop at a stop sign after an alleged road rage incident just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 14.

A 38-year-old Waterford man called the Sheriff's Department to report that the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro was following him, showing obscene gestures and that someone in the vehicle had thrown a paper cup at his car as he was driving down Highway 36 in the Town of Norway and into the Village of Waterford.

As the man got close to his home, the Camaro's driver allegedly shined his bright lights at the complainant's vehicle.

The driver then abruptly tried to drive from the scene and a deputy and a citizen witness saw Fenning allegedly drive through the stop sign at Foxmead Drive and Seventh Street.

Deputies stopped the car a block away on Sixth Street.

DOVER

SUV crashes into house

John Dylan Beck, 22, 33102 Oak Knoll Road, Rochester, was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and inattentive driving after a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe struck the front porch of a residence and a tree just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday at a residence at 26530 Washington Ave. (Highway 20).

Sheriff's reports indicate that Beck sustained facial injuries in the crash and he received treatment at the scene from Kansasville rescue crews, but refused to be taken to a hospital.

According to reports, Beck said he fell asleep at the wheel and also allegedly admitted to drinking 12 beers at a Kansasville sports bar prior to the crash.

Deputies said that the steps of the home's porch were completely crushed and a support beam was damaged.

YORKVILLE

Man charged with battery to nurse

A 43-year-old Bristol man is facing numerous pending charges including battery to a nurse after a drunk driving investigation that started at 10:18 p.m. Nov. 14 on Highway 11.

The incident began when a sheriff's patrol noticed a 2003 Ford SUV travelling eastbound on Highway 11 in Union Grove at 43 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. The deputy followed the vehicle and observed it cross the center line of the highway several times and observed its speed fluctuate several times.

The vehicle was stopped at Highway 11 and 57th Drive in Yorkville. Deputies then asked the driver for his license and he allegedly gave them his Sam's Club membership card.

The man was placed under arrest for drunk driving and was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, 3801 Spring St., Racine, for a blood draw.

There, reports indicate that the suspect, Paul Scott Ineichen, 12929 60th St., allegedly resisted and had to be restrained by deputies and hospital staff. In the process, a nurse was struck in the hand and had a fingernail bent back.

Reports indicate Ineichen was charged with his third offense of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and battery.

CALEDONIA

Man faces OWI, other charges

Kyle Bohner, 21, 6123 Bel Mar Ave., Caledonia, is facing charges of possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle after revocation, unsafe lane deviation, failure to stop for a stop sign, reckless driving and operating a vehicle while intoxicated as a result of a traffic stop ay 2:21 a.m. Saturday in the 4300 block of Kennedy Drive.

The incident began after a village police patrol observed a vehicle northbound on North Green Bay Road drive off the road onto the shoulder and then return to the roadway.

The officer turned around and began to follow the vehicle, which then allegedly picked up speed and drove through the stop sign at 3 Mile Road.

MOUNT PLEASANT

Man accused of lewd act

Anthony Lewis Milton, 43, of Racine, was cited for disorderly conduct and being lewd and lascivious after he allegedly exposed his genitals to a store manager just before 8 a.m. Saturday in the men's restroom at Kohl's, 5500 Washington Ave.

Store personnel told village police that they were watching Milton after he allegedly flirted with a female clerk and acted suspiciously in a dressing room.

Milton, who gave the Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization shelter as his address, was taken to the Racine County Jail.

TOWN OF WATERFORD

Several lawns found damaged

A resident of the 8000 block of Marjorie Drive, located near Wood Drive and Highway 164, called Town of Waterford police on the afternoon of Nov. 14 to report that a vehicle had driven across several lawns in the neighborhood.

Police said the resident told them that the damage likely occurred some time after 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 14.

Reports indicate that minor damage was found at 8211, 8106, 8118, 8224, 8214 and 8225 Marjorie. Police said similar damage was also found two miles north of Marjorie at 28510 North Lake Drive in the Tichigan area.

Police have no suspects.
