"The Morning Show" airs every weekday between 8:10 and 9 a.m. Following is a schedule of show topics for the coming week:
Monday - Lawn and gardening expert Kate Jerome from the horticulture faculty at Gateway Technical College joins the show and will take listeners' questions.
Tuesday - The show begins with well-known education expert Jonathan Kozol, author of "Letters to a Young Teacher." Also, Dr. Leonard Sax, author of "Why Gender Matters: What Parents and Teachers Need to Know About the Emerging Science of Sex Differences," talks about his latest book, "Boys Adrift: The Five Factors Driving the Growing Epidemic of Unmotivated Boys and Underachieving Young Men," which talks about the dramatically different ways in which boys and girls learn and the many ways in which Kozol believes they are being ill-served in the typical classrooms of 2007.
Wednesday - Paul Chilsen, who teaches filmmaking at Carthage College, talks about the craft itself and about a documentary project he's working on concerning Dr. Thomas Carr and his work with dinosaurs. Also, Carthage art instructor Diane Levesque talks about the art of Nativity scenes; there will be an exhibit of them at Carthage in conjunction with its Christmas Festival.
Thursday - The guest will be Dr. Peter Krueger, a special visitor at Carthage, who will talk about the recent history of Germany and the current state of affairs there. Then, Howard Brown, from the Kenosha News, will talk about something near and dear to his heart - the charity known as GoodFellows.
Friday - Thomas DeFrank talks about his book "Write It When I'm Gone: Remarkable Off-the-Record Conversations with Gerald R. Ford."
WGTD's Saturday programming includes "Financial Overview" at 9 a.m., "Breakfast Bytes" at 9:45 a.m., "Education Matters" at 10:30 a.m. and "Community Matters" at 11:15 a.m.
