YORKVILLE - Minnesota-based 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment will use a building in Grandview Business Park for its Midwest distribution center and a showroom and retail store.
The company, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., has leased 38,215 square feet of space in Grandview Interstate Center I, 2000 S. Sylvania Ave. The building is a recently completed 153,600-square-foot, multi-tenant industrial facility.
Founded in 1992, 2nd Wind describes itself as the Midwest's exclusive dealer for high-end exercise equipment with over 85 retail locations throughout the region. According to the company Web site, 2nd Wind sells the industry's top exercise equipment lines including Life Fitness, Octane, Vision, Hoist, Power Plate and many others.
2nd Wind started as a seller of used exercise equipment but now its inventory selection is 97 percent new and 3 percent previously owned high-end gear.
Along with a distribution warehouse, 2nd Wind announced it will open a 3,000-square-foot showroom and retail store.
Grandview Business Park is being developed as a joint venture between CenterPoint Properties Trust and Wispark Corp.
