RACINE - A 66-year-old man told Racine police he was robbed of his wallet Tuesday at 1 p.m. near Fifth Street and Lake Avenue.
Reports said the man was walking on Fifth Street when two suspects came up and demanded his wallet. The man told officers they said if he didn't give it to them, they would kill him.
Police said the man was punched several times in the face and when he fell to the ground, the suspects took his wallet.
The wallet contained bank cards and identification.
The man told officers he was intoxicated at the time of the attack and could not give them a good description of the suspects.
RACINE - Police said a 27-year-old man was assaulted in an attempted robbery Wednesday morning between 2 and 2:30 a.m. at Washington and Flett avenues.
Reports said the man was walking home from a friend's when he saw a group standing in the alley. The group called him over to them, and then asked what was in his pockets.
The man told police two of the suspects punched him in the face and stomach. Reports said he punched back and then fled.
While running away, the man tripped and fell. Police said he was taken to the hospital for treatment of bruises, a laceration and a sprain.
