RACINE -

A man's alleged repeated attempts to give teenage girls money in exchange for sex acts has netted him two felony charges.

Gary S. Sutton, 32, is charged with two counts of soliciting a child for prostitution. If convicted, he could face up to $200,000 in fines and 50 years imprisonment.

According to court records:

A woman called police Tuesday to report a man, later identified as Sutton, was asking young teenage girls to perform sex acts for money. She gave police a description of his vehicle - a red Cadillac.

Officers found the vehicle near the intersection of Byrd Avenue and Roosevelt Street, and the suspect volunteered to go back to speak with witnesses.

An officer spoke with the girls the man allegedly spoke with, and they said he offered them as much as $150 if they would engage in sexual activity with him. The girls said they told him their ages and said they were not interested. They also said he makes them feel very uncomfortable, but that it is hard to avoid him because he lives in the neighborhood.

A 20-year-old woman who lives next door to where the suspect is staying said she has found him looking in her windows, and that she has heard him solicit neighborhood girls.
