Several cars found damaged
Several cars were discovered vandalized on the morning of Sept. 27 in the Regency Hills subdivision.
A 17-year-old Mount Pleasant man said the window on his 1991 Geo Prism was smashed while it was parked in the 5900 block of Regency Hills Drive and loose change was taken from the car. Damage is estimated at $400.
A 67-year-old Racine man said the window on his 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo was smashed while it was parked in the 3500 block of Weston Drive and his billfold and prescription sunglasses were removed. Damage is estimated at $400.
A 30-year-old Mount Pleasant man said a window was smashed on his 2007 Mercury Milan while it was parked in the 3500 block of Weston Drive. Damage is estimated at $300.
YORKVILLE
Teen found with drugs in church lot
A Kenosha County deputy returning to his Yorkville home late on the night of Sept. 29 and in the company of an off-duty Evanston, Ill., police officer came across suspicious activity in the nearby parking lot of Yorkville United Methodist Church, 17809 Old Yorkville Road.
The two off-duty officers detained a 17-year-old girl until Racine County sheriff's deputies could arrive. Racine deputies ended up arresting Amber Mercedes Ponticelli, of Raymond, on charges of possession of narcotics without a prescription, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The narcotics found in the car were Adderall and Clonazepam, sheriff's reports indicate.

Dealerships report thefts from cars
Village police on Sept. 29 took reports of thefts from vehicles and vandalism at two car dealerships.
A window was found smashed and a stereo found missing just after 6 a.m. in a Racine woman's 1998 Hyundai. The vehicle had been parked for service outside Gentile Hyundai, 9503 Washington Ave. The stereo has an estimated value of $162 and damage is estimated at $380.
Just after 2 p.m., village police were called to Saturn of Racine, 10155 Washington Ave. A Kenwood stereo, valued at $250, was missing from a Ford Bronco after a $200 window was smashed. A stereo was also found to be taken from a Chevy Camero. No damage was found on that vehicle.
The break-ins at the Saturn dealership occurred some time after Sept. 27; the break-in at the Hyundai dealership occurred some time after Sept. 24.
RACINE
Park pavilion vandalized
Vandals spray painted the word "dope" in white, blue and black paint on a brick wall of a pavilion at Pritchard Park, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies were called to the park in the 2200 block of Ohio Street on the morning of Sept. 27 about the graffiti. Reports said the vandalism was done between Sept. 26 and 27.
RACINE
Woman scares off intruder
A 23-year-old woman told Racine police there was a man outside her apartment with a gun on the night of Sept. 27.
Reports said the woman was in her apartment in the 1800 block of Douglas Avenue around 9:15 p.m. when a neighbor came to the door. Just seconds after the neighbor left, the woman heard someone banging on the door. The intruder was kicking at her door.
The resident told police she looked through the peephole and saw a man dressed in a black hoodie wearing a white mask kicking her door. He was armed with a handgun, she said.
Police said the woman yelled and said she was calling police, which she did. The man allegedly ran down the steps and out of the apartment building.
RACINE
Jewelry reported missing
Jewelry, worth an estimated $2,300, was stolen from a home in the 1800 block of Linden Avenue Tuesday, police said.
Reports said the owner of the jewelry let a woman he knows come into his house to use the bathroom around 3:30 p.m. A few minutes later he left with her.
The man told police when he returned home after work around 8:30 p.m., he noticed the jewelry had been removed from his bedroom.
