Cell phone store robbed
A cellular phone valued at $100 was taken in an armed robbery that occurred just after 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at the T-Mobile store, 1957 Douglas Ave.
A clerk at the store said a man, thought to be a customer, asked to look at the phone but then showed a weapon and pocketed the phone before fleeing the store and heading south down Douglas.
The suspect was last seen in the area near Outbreak Billiards, 1717 Douglas Ave.
RACINE
Inmate spits at guard
A 19-year-old inmate at the Racine County Jail, 717 Wisconsin Ave., was charged with battery Oct. 6 after she allegedly spat at a corrections officer.
The incident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. after officers went to investigate an inmate who was pressing a call-alert button. When the officer approached Mykesha S. Howze, 2525 Jacato Drive, Racine, she allegedly uttered obscenities at the guard and spat.

Car covered with paint
A 2003 Chevy Impala, belonging to a 28-year-old Racine woman, was found covered with gray paint early on the morning of Oct. 6. The vandalism occurred some time after 10 a.m. Oct. 5 and before 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of Shelbourne Court.

Landscaping equipment stolen
Landscaping power equipment was removed from two cargo trailers some time between Oct. 3 and Oct. 6 while the trailers were parked in the 5000 block of 21st Street. Police reports indicate padlocks were cut from both trailers.
Missing are: a riding mower valued at $7,000; a turf tracer valued at $4,500; two blowers, one valued at $400 and another valued at $200; and a trimmer valued at $600.

Several citations issued after crash
A 28-year-old Racine man received numerous citations after a two-vehicle crash at 10:18 a.m. Oct. 5 at 6th Street and Lake Avenue.
Police accident reports indicate that Aaerrion R. Little, 1917 Mead St., was cited for violation of a traffic signal, inattentive driving, operating a vehicle after suspension (second offense) and nonregistration of a vehicle following the crash, in which nobody was injured and only minor damage resulted to both vehicles.
Police said Little was driving a 1996 Lumina northbound on Lake Avenue when he rear ended a 2006 Buick Lucerne, driven by James S. Thompson, 71, of Caledonia.

Man bloodied in altercation
A passerby observed two men fighting just before 4:20 p.m. Oct. 5 in front of the Beijing Garden restaurant, 468 N. Pine St., and went to the police station a couple blocks away to report the incident.
Police responded and found pools of blood in front of the building. Officers went upstairs to the apartments in the building and found a 22-year-old man bleeding.
The man did not want a rescue squad called and refused to press charges against the other person involved in the fight. Police told the man to stay away from the building or risk being ticketed.
