HEAD START PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT TODAY

RACINE - Racine/Kenosha Community Action Agency Head Start Program will hold free preschool enrollment from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12.

Racine/Kenosha Community Action Agency Head Start program is a free pre-school for children ages 3-5. Four locations are available: 1032 Grand Ave., 1923 Green St., 1100 Main St., Union Grove, and 209 Wainwright, Burlington. The Racine/Kenosha Community Action Agency has begun accepting applications for the 2009-10 program year.

CASE HIGH FOOTBALL COACH HOSTS INFORMATIONAL MEETING

MOUNT PLEASANT - Case High School football coach Gregg Brenner will hold a parent/player meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, in the Theatre at Case High School, 7345 Washington Ave. This informational meeting is for incoming freshmen interested in the football program. Current students who did not participate last year who wish to play this coming fall, and all returning players/parents are also encouraged to attend. The meeting is also open to any faculty, staff, parents and students who wish to learn more about the football team and meet the coaching staff.

LEARN ABOUT ST. CATHERINE'S FAIR SHARE TUITION PROGRAM

RACINE - St. Catherine's High School Fair Share Tuition and Investment Program Meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, May 18. Attendees are asked to use the lower library door number eight at St. Catherine's High School, 1200 Park Ave.

Through Fair Share, St. Catherine's High School and prospective families work together to make a St. Catherine's High School education a reality. The investment on both sides is an opportunity to build the community through volunteerism.

PRAIRIE SCHOOL STUDENTS PRESENT 'BUGSY MALONE'

WIND POINT - The Prairie School seventh- and eighth-grade students will present "Bugsy Malone" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, through Sunday, May 17, in the John Mitchell Theater, 4050 Lighthouse Drive.

Set in the heart of New York during the Prohibition era, "Bugsy Malone" tells the tale of gangster turf war in a world where shoot-outs are fought not with bullets but with custard pies. Fat Sam runs the local speakeasy and has the monopoly on the illegal sarsaparilla trade. Everything appears to be running smoothly until Dandy Dan and his gang of hoodlums move in on Sam's territory.

Sam smartly employs smooth-talking Bugsy Malone, the man of every girl's dreams and every cop's nightmares. There will be no shortage of fun, frivolity and fresh pies.

PARK HIGH THEATRE DEPARTMENT BANQUET IS MAY 19

RACINE - The Park High School Theatre Department Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. May 19 in the school cafeteria, 1901 12th St.

The Theatre Department is seeking contact information from the youth cast of "Oliver!" in order to include them in the banquet. Any middle/elementary school student who was cast in "Oliver!" should call the Theatre Department by Friday at (262) 619-4439 to let them know if they will be in attendance and how many will attend the banquet. The banquet is pot-luck style. The Park Theatre Department will supply plates, utensils, coffee, juice, milk and a cake for dessert.

LITTLE WOLVERINES PRESCHOOL APPLICATIONS OPEN

WATERFORD - The Child Development Classes at Waterford Union High School, 100 Field Drive, will be running their Little Wolverines Nursery School for children that are potty trained through 5 year olds through June 4. Classes will be held from 8 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

LUTHERAN HIGH OFFERS SUMMER CAMPS

RACINE - Racine Lutheran High School has new summer camp opportunities for all students in Racine. The new academic camps include offerings in horsemanship, baking, sewing, music, Spanish, scrapbooking, guitar, CSI and study skills for all ages. There will also be a variety of athletic camps offered in basketball, football, soccer, softball, volleyball and speed/agility for students entering grades five through eight. A camp is also available for students entering grades one through four. These summer camps run for four or five days during June and July at a cost of $50 per camp.
