HORLICK HIGH SCHOOL HOLDS COMMUNITY CELL PHONE RECYCLING DRIVE
RACINE - Horlick High School will host a Cell Phone Recycling Drive through Nov. 25. The Racine community is encouraged to bring their old cell phones, regardless of condition or age, to the specially marked drop-off stations located inside the school's tennis court door entrance, 2119 Rapids Drive.
The money raised from the donated cell phones will be directly put toward incentives for students who are putting forth effort and showing good progress academically. ST. LUCY PARISH SCHOOL HOSTS CRAFT/VENDOR FAIR
RACINE - A craft/vendor fair with more than 40 booths, concessions and a bake sale, will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at St. Lucy Parish School, 3035 Drexel Ave.

JONES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 40TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE
RACINE - Current and former staff, students and families of Jones Elementary School are welcome to help celebrate 40 years in Racine during an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the school, 3300 Chicory Road.
Visitors can tour the school, enjoy a performance by the school choir and view items from a time capsule that current students will open during the week. Refreshments will be served and some school spirit items will be for sale.
'WINTER WONDERS' BEGINS PLANETARIUM PROGRAM
FRANKSVILLE - Holiday traditions and solstice celebrations will highlight the first Racine Unified School District public planetarium program of the 2008 school year on Dec. 9 at Gifford Elementary School, 8332 Northwestern Ave. Attendees are asked to park in the east parking lot and enter through the southeast doors.
"Winter Wonders" explores a wide variety of topics associated with the evening sky during the nights surrounding the winter solstice. The program begins with a discussion of possible explanations for the Star of Bethlehem and reasons for our seasons. The audience will then visit the celebrations of ancient cultures held to commemorate the shortest day of the year and customs associated with our celebration of Christmas and Hanukkah.
The program will conclude with a look at the December evening sky with free star maps available.
Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling (262) 631-7093. Due to limited seating, reservations cannot be accepted for organizations or groups.
TURKEY BASH AT ST. CATHERINE'S HIGH SCHOOL
RACINE - Alumni and guests are invited to a Turkey Bash from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 28 in Alumni Hall (cafeteria) at St. Catherine's High School, 1200 Park Ave. Alumni may enter the building through Door No. 2 (southeast entrance off parking lot).
An energetic group of former students have planned this kickoff so alumni visiting Racine over the Thanksgiving weekend can connect with old friends over some great area pizza. Rekindle relationships, see some faculty and reminisce about St. Catherine's High School.
