PROVIDENCE CATHOLIC SCHOOL ENROLLMENT UNDER WAY

UNION GROVE - Providence Catholic School is now accepting applications for preschool through eighth grade. Providence, which is an accredited school, offers a faith-filled education and small class sizes as well as before- and after-school care, extracurricular activities, a caring staff, computer technology and high academic standards. ST. CATHERINE'S HIGH SCHOOL POM PON TRYOUTS

RACINE - Pom Pon tryouts will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through April 8 at St. Catherine's High School, 1200 Park Ave.

Tryouts are open to all incoming and returning students for the 2009-10 school year. Students are asked to have a parent/guardian fill out an insurance waiver on the first night of practice.

PARK HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS COLLEGE INFORMATION NIGHT

RACINE - A College Information Night will begin at 6 p.m. April 21 in the theater at Park High School, 1901 12th St. The school's counselors will be presenting information to help students and parents make the best of their years in high school to prepare for post-graduation. Topics will include high school graduation requirements, the Advanced Placement program, PSAT/ACT/SAT testing procedures, off campus credit opportunities and the college application process.

Representatives from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Gateway Technical College, Carthage College, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a representative from the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities are all scheduled to be in attendance to answer questions and distribute materials about their college/university.

The event is open to all Racine Unified School District students - sophomores and juniors are strongly encouraged to attend.

HORLICK PRESENTS 'THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE'

RACINE - The Horlick High School Drama department presents a new musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie," at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the school, 2119 Rapids Drive.

Taking place in New York City in 1922, "Thoroughly Modern Millie" tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz, a time when women were entering the work force and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Based on the popular movie, the stage version includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers.
