REAL CHARTER SCHOOL HOSTS BATTLE OF THE BANDS
RACINE - The REAL Charter School will host a Battle of the Bands from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. The band competition will be held in the field house at Park High School, 1901 12th St.
Featured performers will be LEO, East of You, LABELED and Shadows of Life. Admission is $5 at the door. The event is open to the public. Students who attend must be ages 13-18 and have valid school identification.

CASE HIGH SCHOOL HOLDS TALENT SHOW
MOUNT PLEASANT - Case High School students will present "Case Has Talent" at 7 p.m. Friday in the auditorium, 7345 Washington Ave.
Advance tickets are $5 and can be purchased by calling the activities office at (262) 619-4203. Admission at the door on the night of the show is $7. Parking is free in the north parking lot of the school.

SUNSHINE MOUNTAIN PRESCHOOL SETS OPEN HOUSE/OPEN REGISTRATION
RACINE - Sunshine Mountain Preschool will host an open house and open registration for the fall semester on Sunday. Sunshine Mountain Preschool is sponsored by and located at Christ Church United Methodist, 5109 Washington Ave. Sunshine Mountain Preschool is a Montessori philosophy, nonco-op preschool. This school offers an environment in which children learn basic skills, self-motivation, and creativity with the benefit of being in a Christian atmosphere. There is a three-day Monday, Wednesday, Friday program, morning and afternoon sessions, and a two-day, Tuesday and Thursday morning session for children ages 3-5.

NORTH SIDE PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY
RACINE - North Side Preschool, located within Trinity United Methodist Church, 3825 Erie St., will hold an open house and begin taking enrollments from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The school offers a pre-kindergarten class designed to meet the developmental needs of children from 3 to 4 years old as well as a 4-year-old kindergarten class with a curriculum to meet the needs of children from 4 to 5 years old.
Classes are led by two degreed teachers and assisted by parent volunteers, which allows for great adult-to-child ratios and lots of individual attention.
The comprehensive curriculum includes language development, reading readiness, math, science, social skills, art, music and more, all within a Christian environment. Lessons and activities are adapted to suit each child's level so that they can be successful as well as challenged to do more.

HOLY COMMUNION PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY
RACINE - Holy Communion Preschool at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. Sixth St., will hold an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Holy Communion Preschool offers a private school option for morning two-day, 3-year-old preschool class and a morning or afternoon three-day 4-year-old kindergarten class. The 3-year-old class is designed to strengthen students' social interaction and development skills with the introduction of basic academic concepts. The 4-year-old kindergarten class, in addition to social skills with large group interaction, also offers a wide variety of kindergarten readiness skills, including one-on-one hands-on math and science activities, art, music, multicultural units and an emergent reading program. RACINE - A Kindergarten Kick-Off will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. March 3 in the lower school campus of Wisconsin Lutheran School, 2920 Bate St. All prospective kindergarten students are invited to attend to participate in the many activities that are planned. OPEN HOUSE AT CONCORDIA LUTHERAN SCHOOL
STURTEVANT - Concordia Lutheran School, with campuses in Sturtevant and Racine, will hold its annual open house on March 4. From 6 to 7:30 p.m., visit the Racine campus, for students preschool through second grade, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3350 Lathrop Ave; and from 6:30 to 8 p.m., an open house will be held for students in grades 3-8 at the campus at Faith Lutheran Church, 8500 Durand Ave., Sturtevant.
Concordia Lutheran School offers a comprehensive, Christ-centered education to students in 3-year-old preschool through eighth grade, including a full-day kindergarten program. RACINE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCES P-COC ENROLLMENT
RACINE - Enrollment for the 3-year-old, Parent-Child Oriented Classroom (P-COC) program will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 4 at Red Apple School, 914 St. Patrick St. The P-COC program is for students who are or will be 3 years old on or before Sept. 1. For the P-COC program, parents attend class one day a week with their child.

HORLICK HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST FLEA MARKET
RACINE - Horlick High School, 2119 Rapids Drive, will host its annual Horlick Flea Market on April 25. Proceeds from the event will support student activities within the school. Booth space for vendors is still available for $25 per 10 by 10 area. Chairs and tables can be provided for an additional fee. ANNUAL JUMP ROPE FOR HEART EVENT
STURTEVANT - Concordia Lutheran School will hold its annual Jump Rope for Heart event March 6. Over the past five years the school has raised more than $15,000 to help fight heart disease and stroke. Preschool through eighth-grade students will jump together to help the American Heart Association celebrate its 30th anniversary of Jump Rope for Heart.
