STUDENT GOVERNMENT HOSTS ANNUAL FLEA MARKET
RACINE - Horlick High School's Student Government is hosting its annual Horlick Flea Market on April 25 at the school, 2119 Rapids Drive. More than 30 vendors will be in attendance with a wide variety of merchandise for sale. Food and refreshments will be sold throughout the day. Fresh pastries and hot coffee will be available throughout the morning hours. Hot buttered popcorn and sloppy joes along with nachos will be sold in the afternoon.
The event runs from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Ample parking is available in the school parking lot and in the Pick 'n Save shopping mall lot. Booth spaces may still be purchased at $25 for a 10-by-10 spot. Interested vendors should contact Victor Moreno, adviser, or Jessica Shanine, student coordinator, at (262) 619-4300 ext. 8953. The event raises funds to support student activities within the school.
'VISIONS OF A SPRING NIGHT' AT RACINE UNIFIED PLANETERIUM
FRANKSVILLE - The "Visions of a Spring Night" public planetarium program will be at the Racine Unified Planetarium at 7 p.m.
April 28 and 30 at Gifford Elementary School, 8332 Northwestern Ave.
From Ursa Major, the giant bear, to Corvus the crow; from Hercules to Leo the lion, the spring constellations and their stars are displayed in their quiet splendor. Myths associated with many of the constellations are shared on this stellar tour. Weaved throughout the program and the stories are explanations of proper star motion, binary or double stars, and star clusters. Many of the stars discussed are easily viewed from Racine with the naked eye or binoculars.
The program will conclude with suggestions of how to find constellations in the spring sky above Racine and free star maps.
Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling (262) 631-7093. Due to limited seating, reservations cannot be accepted for organizations or groups. At the school, attendees are asked to park in the east parking lot and enter through the southeast doors.
RACINE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 2009-10 REGISTRATION
RACINE - Racine Christian School, 912 Virginia St., invites new families to register by April 30 for the 2009-10 school year. The school encompasses kindergarten through eighth grade. Class sizes are limited, so early enrollment is encouraged.
Racine Christian School provides academic excellence, with students scoring several years beyond their actual grade level in standardized testing. Along with a full curriculum, the school offers music, art and sports. More than 40 different Christian churches are represented by its families.

UG HIGH SEEKING BRONCO HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS
UNION GROVE - The Union Grove High School Hall of Fame committee is seeking nominations for 2009. The committee invites the community and Union Grove High School alumni to send in nominations of distinguished graduates of the school. Past or present teachers, advisers, coaches, administrators and those who have given meritorious service or been a loyal friend of the high school can also be nominated.
