RACINE - Going once, going twice … SOLD! Racine Lutheran High School invites the public to the 23rd Annual Bids for Kids Auction on Saturday. The doors open at 9 a.m., with hot coffee and fresh-baked cinnamon rolls awaiting shoppers in the school's commons area. The voice auction, run by professional auctioneer Bob Hagemann, will be held from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or until items are sold out. The auction will be held in the gymnasium at the school, 251 Luedtke Ave.
Donations from area businesses, parents, friends and alumni are arriving daily. New merchandise, collectibles, autographed items, antiques, recreational opportunities and gift certificates for goods and services will be sold to the highest bidder. In the Cash and Carry booth, you may purchase items for cash with no bidding or waiting.
Special items include: Lake Michigan fishing excursion, gas stove, four-night stay at Big Lake Campground-Algoma, wood chipper/shredder, Milwaukee Mile tickets (four tickets plus pit and paddock passes) to A.J. Foyt 225 IndyCar series race, NASCAR Camping World Truck series race, NASCAR Nationwide series, WI ALL-STAR 100 series, Jensen Metals Products fireplace and fuel, autographed Green Bay Packers football, Porcaro's Lawncare - four weeks of lawn mowing and two Brewers tickets (behind dugout).

A silent auction will run concurrently with the voice auction. Silent auction bidders will find gift certificates donated by area merchants for dining out, massages, beauty products, admission tickets, museums, groceries, fitness centers, dry cleaning, carpet cleaning, automotive care, bakery items, entertainment, car washes, flowers, custard, golfing, retail items and much more.
Auction booklets listing all donations, donors and values will be distributed to bidders. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. Refreshments and lunch will be available at the Sidewalk Cafe in the gym with grilled brats, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and Palermo's Pizza donated by local merchants. Homemade treats will also be available.
