SOMERS - The admissions office at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside has added Saturday office hours on selected dates to better serve prospective students and their parents. The university has also extended the hours for its Experience Days to give attending students and faculty more time to interact.

Saturday hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 12, Sept. 26, Oct. 10, Oct. 31, Dec. 12 and Dec. 19. Campus tours are conducted at 10 and 11 a.m. and admission counselors are available for appointments. Students can register for a Saturday visit by calling (262) 595-2355.

The university's fall 2009 Experience Days have been extended by one hour. Taking place Oct. 24, Nov. 7, Nov. 14 and Nov. 21, each Experience Day focuses on specific majors and now run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Oct. 24 Experience Day covers business, computer science, and sport management and fitness management careers, while the Nov. 7 program focuses on art, music and theater. The Nov. 14 Experience Day covers UW-Parkside's popular natural, physical and health-related science majors. The series wraps up Nov. 21, with communication and social and behavioral sciences.
