Michael Raschke, 17, works with Sr. Janet on restoration of a
wood "Magic School Bus" based on a popular children's television
series, in the loft of the barn at the Racine Dominicans
Eco-Justice Center, 7133 Michna Road, Monday January 9, 2012. The
model, which was originally built for the proposed Imaginarium
children's museum, will be carpeted and will have benches made out
of former church pews. It will be used as an educational resource
for school groups and birthday parties, among other uses, beginning
in early February.Raschke, a junior at the REAL School, has been
working at the center since he was 11. The bus measures 12 feet
long, 5 feet high, and 4 feet wide, minus the wood wings that will
be mounted on the sides of the bus. / Mark Hertzberg
