These events will be held in Racine and Kenosha counties in observance of the July 4 holiday:

Friday

Sturtevant Fireworks - Fireman's Park on Charles Street in Sturtevant. 5-11 p.m. Free; parking, $5. Food vendors, beer tent, live music by East of You and Positive Feedback. Fireworks begin at dusk. No carry-ins allowed.

Saturday

Racine Fourth Fest Parade - "Summer in Racine." The Midwest's largest 4th of July parade. Pre-parade of fire engines and motorcycles, 8:15; parade starts at 9 a.m. Begins at Main and Goold streets in Racine and proceeds south on Main Street to 14th Street and west to the Golden Rondelle. Featuring tractors, floats and living replicas of national monuments. The fireworks begin at dusk at the lakefront.

Union Grove Independence Day Parade - "Moving Forward in New Directions." 9:15 a.m. Featuring more than 100 units. The parade begins at the Racine County Fairgrounds on Highway 11, Yorkville, and travels east on Highway 11 to Highway 45, and then north on Highway 45 and ends at the high school. Preceded by the Kiddie Parade,

8:45 a.m.

Somers July 4th Parade & Ice Cream Social - Highway E, Shoreland High School east to Somers Grade School. 2 p.m. Ice Cream Social to follow at Town Hall.

4th Jam for Uncle Sam - Racine on the Lake Festival Park, 5 Fifth St., Racine. Immediately following the 4th of July parade (about noon) until 11 p.m. VIP advance purchase VIP package for $20 includes admission, preferred and secured parking and pork plate dinner. Tickets at Racine Harley-Davidson or through Ticketmaster. General admission at the door, $10. Live music by OCD, Bedlam and Supernaut. Food, corn roast and beverages. Sponsored by the SE WI Racine Harley Owner's Group.

Fireman's Dance - Echo Park, Highway 36, Burlington. Admission $2 (includes raffle ticket). Music by The Greg Brady Experience, 3-6 p.m.; First Kiss, 7-11 p.m. Food and beverages. Fireworks at dusk. Fundraiser for the City of Burlington Volunteer Fire Department.

Star Spangled Spectacular - HarborPark, 56th Street and First Avenue, Kenosha; and Wolfenbuttel Park, 58th Street and

Third Avenue, Kenosha. 7-10 p.m. Free. Live music, food vendors, free streetcar rides and fireworks at dusk.

Sunday

Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade - "Celebrating Lincoln's Bicentennial." Parade begins at 2 p.m. at 60th Street and 22nd Avenue, east on 60th street to Library Park, halfway around the park to 60th Street, east to Third Avenue, Kenosha.
