The Racine Instinctive Bowmen's Club is hosting its annual anniversary shoot Saturday and Sunday at the RIB Club at 14403 50th Road in Yorkville. The ranges will feature homemade 3-D targets, McKenzie/Rinehart targets. Door prizes will be drawn both days (must be present to win). Registration and breakfast begins at 7 a.m. each day. Various shooting styles are welcome, including sights/fingers, sights/releases, instinctive, traditional (no crossbows) in various classifications (adult, junior, cadet, male and female). Camping will be available, but no hookups. No broadheads, carry-in liquor or pets are allowed. Buck Trail Archers Bow Hunter's Challenge runs every Tuesday through Sept. 4. Practice and open shooting will be available every Tuesday. There will be 28 3-D targets set up in a realistic, wooded hunting type of environment. No broadheads are allowed. All other shooting styles are welcome. Refreshments and snacks will be available. Range finders and binoculars are allowed. The cost is $6 per Tuesday.

The West Allis Bowmen's summer league runs through early September. League fees are $49.50 for members and $72 for non-members. Walk-ons are welcome. Fees are $7 for members and $9 for non-members.
The club features 15 targets in hunting conditions. Some 3-D McKenzie targets are used as well.

The West Allis Bowmen's Safari Shoot will be held Sept. 1-3. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1-2 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 3. The safari round will feature 28 unique targets; with two arrows per target. There also will be a 3-D round with 28 targets, also two arrows per target. Hunter safety education course
The Wisconsin Sportsman's Association will conduct a hunter safety certification course from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 10 through Oct. 29 at the club grounds, 16010 Durand Ave. Testing will be held Nov. 3.
