The UW-Parkside men's soccer team's 9-0 nonconference rout of Calumet College of St. Joseph's Wednesday afternoon at Parkside's Wood Road Soccer Field in Somers was a true family affair.
Sophomore forward Johnson Thao had a hat trick and his brother Tim Thao, a freshman, added two goals for the Rangers (2-0).
Not to be outdone by the Thaos, All-American senior forward Bojan Jovicic scored a goal and assisted on three others and his brother, freshman Zoran Jovicic, scored a goal and assisted on another.
Freshmen Jose Alfaro and Lorne Cameron also scored for the Rangers, who led 4-0 at halftime, and had 15 shots on goal to one for Calumet College.
"The chemistry for some of our attacking players is starting to develop, but we still need to get better," Parkside associate head coach Jason Zitzke said.
Victor Perez earned the shutout in goal.
The Rangers will host Viterbo at noon Saturday and the University of Mary at noon Monday at the Wood Road Soccer Field. Viterbo and Mary will play each other at noon Sunday.
