The awards just keep rolling in for the Carthage College baseball team.
Junior pitcher Jordan Jaehne-Llanas earned second-team All-America honors and first-team All-Central Region honors on the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball team.
Jaehne-Llanas, a former Kenosha Bradford standout, went 8-2 with a 1.99 ERA for the Red Men. He averaged 8.74 strikeouts per nine innings and had a .216 opponents batting average.
Carthage coach Augie Schmidt IV was named the ABCA/Diamond Sports NCAA Division III Central Regional Coach of the Year for the ninth time.
Track & field
CARTHAGE: Sophomore Heather Gilmore, the only Lady Red to qualify for the NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, competed in the 100-meter high hurdles Friday, but did not advance to the final. The meet is being held at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
