The UW-Parkside women's cross country team is becoming a fixture at the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Led by two top-four finishers, the Rangers scored 130 points to finish third at the Division II Great Lakes Regional at Edwardsville, Ill., and qualify for nationals for the third straight year.

Junior Jessica Lamp was second in the 6,000-meter race in 21:32.24 and senior Naomi Fulton was fourth in 21:39.65 to lead the way for Parkside, which finished eighth at nationals last year and ninth in 2005. Lamp and Fulton, along with senior Valerie Hubbard, who finished 14th in 22:14.74, earned All-Region honors.

"Overall, we ran a good, solid race," Rangers coach Mike DeWitt said. "It was nothing spectacular and nothing more than we needed."
