Through the weekend of April 18-19, Renae Repta leads in more than one category at the Racine USBC Women's Bowling Association City Tournament at Plaza Bowling Center.
Repta leads Class 1 singles at 720 and Class 1 all-events at 2,151. Shari Urick has the high scratch series of 646 and is third overall (706).
In Class 1 doubles, Sandy Hansen and Carol Lambert totaled 1,396 to take the lead. Nancy Jeter and Maureen Oates have 1,218 for the high scratch doubles score.
In team event, Skipper Buds, captained by Connie Peasley, stayed in the lead at 2,766. Paradise Lanes (captain Georgette Albert) shot the best scratch team score, 2,484, and is fourth in the standings.
In Class 2, there were two new leaders. Coal Miners (captain Brenda Schoenfuss) shot 2,691 in team event to pass Odd Couples (Repta, 2,673) and in all-events, Sarah Wensing shot 2,111 to pass Norma Woodward (2,101).
Helen Swanson and Woodward lead doubles at 1,453 and Swanson and Bev Radtke are tied for first in singles (716).
RYBA CITY TOURNAMENT: In results through April 19 at the Racine USBC Youth Bowling Association City Tournament at Plaza, the leaders in Class 1 are Paradise Rebels of Paradise Lanes in team event at 2,853, Cody Lawson and Tyler Nelson of Hillside in doubles at 1,497, Tre Toby of Plaza in singles at 739 and Amanda Enright of Hillside in all-events at 2,145.
The leaders in Class 2 are Angels of Paradise in team event at 1,846, Josh Netzinger and Jorge Lopez of Paradise in doubles at 1,055, Seth Sanchez of Castle in singles at 570 and Tyler Possing of Paradise in all-events at 1,608.
WWBA STATE TOURNAMENT: In results through April 19 at the Wisconsin Women's Bowling Association State Tournament in Milwaukee, Jenny Wonders took over the lead in scratch all-events at 2,125. Wonders and Racine's Kris Cashmore helped Racine Amusement take over the lead in team event (2,616) the previous weekend.
Other Racine County bowlers in the top five in the scratch categories are Paradise Lanes of Racine, fourth in team event (2,505); Jill Albrecht of Wind Lake and her Milwaukee team, 42 To Go, fifth in team event (2,503); Albrecht, second in singles (738); Albert, second in all-events (2,091) and fourth in singles (687); and Nancy Jeter of Racine, third in all-events (2,057).
Sandra Doebereiner and Mary Zywiec of Racine are second in Division 2 doubles (1,585).

WSBA STATE TOURNAMENT: After action through April 19 at the 107th annual Wisconsin State Bowling Association State Tournament in Green Bay, the top Racine County entry is Michael Patrenets of Franksville is second in Division 2 all-events at 1,961.
Other county entries in the top five are Towne & Country Lanes #1 of Burlington, third in scratch team event (3,460) and Robert Schoenfuss of Union Grove and Chris Webb of Franksville, fourth in Division 1 scratch doubles (1,475).

WSBA SENIOR TOURNAMENT: After action through April 19 at the 28th annual Wisconsin State Bowling Association Senior Championships at Clintonville and Shawano, the only Racine County entry in the top five is James Olson of Burlington, who is third in 65-69 all-events (2,259) and fourth in age 65-69 handicap singles (786).

WYBA STATE TOURNAMENT: Last weekend, two teams from the Southern Lakes USBC Youth Bowling Association joined the top five at the Wisconsin USBC Youth Bowling Association State Tournament at Appleton.
River City Lanes 7 of Waterford is third in Class 2 team event and River City Lanes 5 of Waterford is fourth in Class 5 team event.
The only other county bowler in the top five is Jerad Meingast, who is fifth in Class 3 singles (606).

USBC OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS: Lennie Boresch Jr. and his Linds Limited team have not been challenged at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships in Las Vegas through this week.
Linds Limited leads Regular team event at 3,449 and team all-events at 10,372, while Boresch leads Regular all-events at 2,223 and he and Steve Brinkman of Sussex are fourth in Regular doubles at 1,446.
Also, Steven Malik of Racine is tied for sixth in Regular singles at 772 and Don Novak of Waterford is tied for 20th in Classified singles (625).

USBC WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIPS: At the United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships in Reno, Nev., three Racine County entries are in the top 50.
Jill Albrecht of Wind Lake joined Gina Daroszewski, Carol Gianotti, Wendy Macpherson and Marliss Tapp to move into 11th in Classic Division team event at 2,912. Colleen Groth of Racine is 10th in Division 2 singles at 576; and Dorothy Lipp of Racine is tied for 33rd in Division 4 singles at 444.
