The best bowlers in the Racine USBC Bowling Association have kept the Division 1 leaderboard in flux at the 99th annual RBA City Tournament at Hillside Lanes (singles and doubles) and

Paradise Lanes (team event).

Of the eight Division 1 categories, five of them have new leaders after the third weekend, just like the previous weekend. This time, there is just one bowler holding down first place in more than one category and that's

Edwin Grabanski, who shot a 753 scratch series in singles to take over the lead in both scratch singles and handicap singles (858). In fact, four bowlers moved ahead of Tom Landreman in Division 1 handicap singles.

Other new leaders in Division 1 are Bill Lister and Paul Herman in handicap doubles at 1,576, Matt Zagar and Tim Ruelle in scratch doubles at 1,374 and

Jason Grabanski in handicap all-events at 2,361.

Holding their leads in Division 1 are Vernon Fink Jr. in scratch all-events (2,136) and R.K.W. Redi Mix in handicap team event (3,842) and scratch team event (3,478).

Division 2 leaders are Allan Fritchen and Jack Launderville in handicap doubles (1,270) and scratch doubles (1,262), Gary Gemmel and Joel Kaminskis in handicap singles (tied at 723), Gemmel in scratch singles (705), Marcus Ludwig in handicap all-events (2,059) and scratch all-events (2,029), Just Bowl in handicap team event (3,156) and Racine Screen in scratch team event (3,057).

Honor scores were achieved by Al Zeitz Jr., who had a 300 game to lead off a 725 series (300-194-231) that tied him for second in Division 1 scratch singles, and Aaron Long, who shot a 298 game during team event for a 792 series (215-298-279).

WSBA STATE TOURNAMENT: Racine County entries are kicking their games into gear after the fourth weekend of the 107th annual Wisconsin State Bowling Association State Tournament being held in the Green Bay area.

Towne & Country Lanes #1 of Burlington, which has the lead in team all-events (9,777), took over the lead in Division 1 handicap team event and scratch team event last weekend with the same score (3,460). Lewens Financial Service remained third in team all-events (9,492).

Also in the top five are Kyle Giese of Racine, a member of Lewens Financial Service, who shot 2,053 for fourth place in scratch all-events; Towne & Country Lanes #1 members Matt Zagar of Racine and Tim Ruelle of Sturtevant, who shot 1,342 in scratch doubles to take fifth place; and Michael Overland of Wind Lake, who is fifth in

Division 2 singles (678).

Results are available online at www.wibowl.com.

WWBA STATE TOURNAMENT: Two Racine County entries finally cracked the top five after the second weekend of the Wisconsin Women's Bowling Association State Tournament in Milwaukee.

Joan Rennert and daughter Marie Salinas of the Racine USBC Women's Bowling Association shot 1,525 and are fourth in

Division 1 handicap doubles and Jodi Gatzke of the RWBA shot 805 and is fifth in Division 1 handicap singles.
