The Racine Hitters are making it interesting at the Dynamic Showcase.

The Hitters had two more shaky performances, but ended up winning two more games Saturday at the tournament hosted by Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Va.

In their first game, played at Radford University in Radford, Va., the Hitters held off the Louisville Saints for a 7-6 victory.

The Hitters took a 6-2 lead into the seventh inning, but the Saints scored four runs in the bottom of the inning and had runners on first and second with two outs. Logan Neibaur foiled Louisville, however, by throwing out the tying run at the plate after a Saints single to left field.

Adam Walker hit two doubles and Walker, Jon Capasso and Joe Sturino each had two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Tim Suminski (1-0) struck out eight.

In the second game, played at Blacksburg against Elite Baseball Black of Pennsylvania, the

Hitters (7-3-2) beat Elite 11-8.

The Hitters saw a 3-0 lead disappear when Elite scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, but the Hitters came right back in the top of the fifth, scoring four runs to take the lead back and keep it.

They led off the inning with three walks and Walker hit a two-run double. Joe Balestreri followed with an RBI groundout and Jameson Hennings singled in the go-ahead run.
